Hunt Family Foundation Pledges $115,000 To Project Arriba

EL PASO, TX – (July 6, 2010) – The Hunt Family Foundation has made a pledge to Project ARRIBA totaling $115,000, Project ARRIBA’s CEO, Roman Ortiz, announced today. Hunt will issue the funding through annual payments over five years, with the first payment received by the charitable organization this month.
The Hunt Family Foundation is an El Paso charitable trust founded in 1987 by Woody Hunt and his wife, Gayle. Mr. Hunt serves as Chairman of the Foundation and Joshua W. Hunt serves as its President. The Foundation has supported Project ARRIBA and its various initiatives since 2001, including contributions of $75,000 to Project ARRIBA’s Workforce Development Program.
“We thank the Hunt Family Foundation for their investment of $115,000,” said Eduardo A. Rodriguez, who serves as Chairman of the Board for Project ARRIBA. “Our current and prospective participants are the direct beneficiaries of this investment; the indirect beneficiary is the community.” Rodriguez added the Hunt donation will allow Project ARRIBA to assist underserved individuals and place them into regional “in demand” occupations such as nursing, teaching, and technology occupations through its Workforce Development Program. “The Hunt Family Foundation’s investment is the type of community leadership required to advance effective workforce development and employment success,” said Rodriguez.

They demonstrate how charitable organizations can truly work in our society to deliver measurable, meaningful results, and we are proud to help fund their worthwhile efforts.” Charitable giving by the Hunt Family Foundation is focused primarily within the El Paso region and directed toward regional economic development, with initiatives in healthcare, education, arts and culture, local heritage, and quality-of-life.

With chronic poverty that makes El Paso one of the poorest counties in the nation, Project ARRIBA is impacting the community and showing results.
