The Woody and Gayle Hunt Family Foundation is pleased to share our 2022 Annual Report. The report showcases the impact we are making and our commitment to the residents and institutions of the Borderplex region: a binational area that encompasses El Paso County, Texas, Doña Ana County, New Mexico, and Ciudad Juárez in México - and the place we call home. We celebrated the 35th anniversary of the Woody and Gayle Hunt Family Foundation in 2022 with deep appreciation for the dedicated individuals and organizations who contribute to what makes life so special here in the Borderplex – a unique region that includes El Paso, Texas, southern New Mexico; and Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. We continue to be inspired by the strength, tenacity, and passion of our community, and are proud to call this region our home.
In 2022, our family foundation was able to strengthen and support our region while still remaining focused on the six pillars that have guided our giving since 1987: healthcare, education, economic development, quality of life, arts and local heritage, and elevating the Borderplex region. Our giving demonstrated our continued commitment to these pillars, and to the region.
Read MoreWe continued to prioritize healthcare and education, most notably through a gift to the University of Texas at El Paso, which is now home to the Woody L. Hunt College of Business. Our $25 million commitment to UTEP advances our goal of ensuring a high quality education for students in our region. In 2022, we also continued to support our sister city of Ciudad Juarez with a commitment to Fundacion Paso del Norte as well as contributions to organizations leading economic development efforts and quality of life initiatives and supporting our arts and local heritage.
We also continued our commitment to elevate the Borderplex in state and national conversations. We are honored to continue the Hunt Aspen Institute Fellowship, which provides local leaders the means and opportunity to attend global seminars and participate in world- renowned leadership programs.
As a family foundation, we are mindful not just of what we support, but how that support is structured. We are most resilient when we are all pulling together, and so we tailor our commitments to encourage investment and engagement from others across the region.
The last 35 years show that there is nothing we cannot accomplish when we are united in constancy, vision, and effort. Thank you for being part of this journey, and for your continued support.

In 2022, the Woody and Gayle Hunt Family Foundation continued our commitment of investing in initiatives and organizations that help create a healthy and competitive Borderplex region: arts and local heritage, economic development, education, healthcare, and quality of life.
